RACES PD in Action

Rosemary Petrucci was hard at work creating a "RACES" worthy question at our 4th grade PD at Winsor Hill School this morning. It was valuable for her to go through the process of answering an open response question connected to the book Frindle, so that she will be able to anticipate any confusion her students may have.

She has her students generate a story map for Frindle so that students can see the connection to Empowering Writers Narrative Diamond. Students are clearly able to visualize that the events leading to the solution are the widest part of the diamond!
