The Arts at Their Finest!

Librarian, Diane Walsh and Art Teacher, Donna Pringle proudly share some of their latest projects from students at Barnes Elementary School.

Students in Diane Walsh's class read the book Wet Cement, A Mix of Concrete Poems and then experimented with their own Concrete or Shape Poems.

Donna Pringle's students looked at many examples of Georges Seurat and other artists who painted in "Pointillism Style". Here are beautiful examples of  "pointillism" projects from a few some of the 4thgrade students at Barnes.

  1. So great to see my specialists on Mrs. Sgambato's blog! The projects are another form of expression for students to communicate visually what they see, hear and feel. The ability to cultivate the arts and appreciate artistic expression at a young age is super important! Great job!
