Fifth graders in Nicole Grilli's classroom reflect on their response to text assignment after viewing the indicators on the Response to Text rubric.
Each student was then able to create a SMART goal for themselves using RACES as a guide. Most students felt that they needed help citing evidence. Through their SMART goal they now have an action plan and a timeline for reaching that goal. See my Student Goal Setting hyperdoc for more information.
Students will also track their progress by graphing future scores, using their Response to Text rubric.
Nice work Miss Grilli! Your 5th graders have set clear expectations for themselves through their Smart Goals, as well as, making sure that they are each accountable for what they are learning by being self-reflective! Keep working hard!
