Inventor Presentations

Students in Sue Deconte's 4th grade classroom proudly display their inventor projects. They began this endeavor by reading about several inventors and discussing their inventions, including the characteristics of them. They then submitted mini inventor story reports about the inventors they researched. Students then narrowed down their focus to one inventor, as they researched, then wrote about their chosen person following the process of writing.

Lastly students had to "develop a poster board for their inventor, maintaining specific components for a solid grade." They had an Invention Exhibit with grades 2, 3 and 4 attending. As Sue stated: "My students absolutely enjoyed the Inventor's unit, as did I. It was surely a great success! "
