"Bedhead" in Action

Students in Sherri Pontarelli and Alisa Sanderson's 4th grade classroom not only got to write about a "bedhead" experience, they were also given the opportunity to come to school with an actual "bedhead." Look at some of the the outlandish, messy hairdos!

Students then had to write about their own "Bedhead" story after reading the book Bedhead by Margie Palatini. Check out the creative writing below.

Notice the descriptive language that came from students' ability to visualize and use words from the text.
