Nature Work in Preschool

Students in Chelsea Galli's preschool classroom had the opportunity to explore nature as they took a "field trip" to the front yard of Graniteville School with clipboards, pencils and magnifying glasses in hand!

Chelsea held a class meeting preparing students for the big event.

All students had the opportunity to observe trees, leaves, seeds, etc. and then draw their findings.
Take a peek at the scientists and illustrators in action!

The front steps were a very productive area!

Chelsea also showed students how to measure the circumference of a tree using string.

Magnifying glasses were in high demand as students were able to observe and then draw their enlarged findings!

After the exploration, students were able to share their scientific observations!
What a great hands on activity for these young explorers!
