Trapped in a Snow Globe

Students in Sherri Pontarelli's 4th grade classroom get "trapped in a snow globe." Children were asked to write a descriptive paragraph using that exact prompt. They had to include powerful words, good description and one or two similes to describe their scene. 

Sherri also integrated art into the writing discipline as students then made their own snow globe ornament, complete with fake snow.

If you look closely below, you will see that each child has his/her photograph inside the snow globe.What a great keepsake!
