Second Graders Embed Art into ELA

Second-grade students in Lisa Moan and Elena D'Arezzo's classroom study character traits for Richie, in My Rotten Red-Headed Older Brother by Patricia Polacco. They creatively crafted a portrait of Richie, tying art into the curriculum. 

They also inferred character traits for this rotten red-headed older brother of Tricia and cited evidence from the text to support the chosen trait.

Students also made a Voki identifying character traits for one of the characters in My Rotten Red-Headed Older Brother, supporting it with evidence from the text.
